Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ages 13-17
The “FPV Drone Racing” category is one of the technological competitions that provides students and young people with the opportunity to both demonstrate and develop their knowledge and skills in the field of unmanned aerial systems. In this category, participants design FPV drones in accordance with specified rules, applying engineering thinking, electronics knowledge, and flight control skills, and operate them in real time.
During the competition, pilots navigate a specially designed track, flying through flags and obstacles while aiming to complete the maximum number of laps. This process helps participants develop practical skills that require speed, precision, and coordination.
FPV drone racing also fosters analytical and logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, strategic approach, and rapid decision-making skills. At the same time, this category contributes to the development of 4C skills—creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration—while offering participants the opportunity to find innovative solutions to real engineering and technological challenges.
