SAF (STEAM Azerbaijan Festival) – Our main goal is to realize various ideas, explore different solutions, identify talented students, gain knowledge and skills, and create conditions for new cooperation of students. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival will be held at the Baku Expo Center under the organization of the STEAM Azerbaijan project.
Green SAF 2024 (International Green STEAM Azerbaijan Festival) will include a total of 12 competition categories and 1 exhibition of innovative projects.
The purpose of the festival is to promote STEAM-based education, develop 21st century skills among students, identify creative students, as well as to hold the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 29) in Azerbaijan and to celebrate the 2024 In connection with the announcement of the year of solidarity for the sake of a green world, it is to encourage the development of innovative solutions and projects for the effective use of water resources and alternative energy sources, and the application of the STEAM-based approach to the improvement of the environment.
It should be noted that the STEAM Azerbaijan Festival was organized for the first time on December 9-10, 2021.
STEAM education method is a combined organization of 5 main disciplines. It is built on the idea of teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics in a joint and integrated manner.
Students of all general, vocational, non-school, secondary and higher education institutions operating in the country have the right to participate in various categories in the form of teams in competitions held within the framework of the festival. After the announcement of the date of the start of registration for participation in the festival, the teams get acquainted with the rules for the relevant categories and can fill out the registration form on the official website of the festival for the category they want to apply for.
