SAF 2023

With the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, the International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival 2023 concluded with a ceremony on December 8 at the Baku Expo Center.

In attendance at the closing ceremony were Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, Ministers of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev and Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Isa Habibbayli, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Policy, Industry, and Entrepreneurship Committee Tahir Mirkishili, Members of Parliament, diplomatic representative offices, rectors of higher education institutions, public representatives and other guests.

First, the head of the "STEAM Azerbaijan" project, Igrar Nazarov, greeted the guests and brought to their attention the report on the results of the competitions. Then a video overview of the International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival was shown.

Initially, the winners of the "Best of the Best" category were awarded. The awards were presented by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, and Minister of Youth and Sports Farid Gayibov.

Subsequently, Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov congratulated the winners and underlined that this competition is a chance to find gifted children and youth, enhance their knowledge and abilities from a young age, and build relationships with their international peers in order to promote social interaction.

The Minister of Science and Education, Emin Amrullayev, thanked everyone who participated in this festival and underlined the idea that "there is no loser at the festival, everyone is a winner" in his remarks later.

Farid Gayibov, the Minister of Youth and Sports, praised the winning teams, wished them luck, and expressed gratitude to the organizing committee for putting on the event.

President of ANAS, Isa Habibbayli, made a speech and emphasized the importance of SAF 2023.

It should be noted that the festival was held on December 4-8.
There were 14 competitions and 1 exhibition category at SAF 2023. 11 nations were represented by the 868 local and 159 foreign participants in the final stage of the festival. Turkiye, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Norway, Slovakia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan were among the foreign players.
